Items and weapons in CNSD Reborn
Every tool in your arsenal — melee, ranged, and consumable — explained.
Items are the gear that sits in your hotbar between respawns in CNSD Reborn. The community wiki documents roughly 20 items across three categories: Melee (close-range damage), Ranged (projectile weapons), and Misc (consumables and utility). Some return with the starter pack on every spawn; others must be purchased mid-run from the Intermission Shop. This page is the complete reference so you stop wondering whether the katana is actually better than the sword.
The embedded showcase video from BoomboxManGaming covers all current units and weapons in one reel. Use it to recognize silhouettes, then come back here for the practical breakdown.
Melee weapons
Melee items deal high damage at close range. They are your M1 string’s sidekick — not a replacement for the four-hit chain, but a panic option when a noob closes the gap faster than your fist animation recovers.
| Item | Type | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Sword | Melee | Starter pack default. Decent reach, reliable damage. Not a trophy. |
| Knife | Melee | Fast swing speed. Lower damage per hit than sword. |
| Bat | Melee | Slower swing than knife, higher knockback. Crowd-control adjacent. |
| Katana | Melee | Higher damage than sword with a longer reach animation. Risk/reward. |
| Metal Pipe | Melee | DaNotSebee keeps showcasing it. Solid all-rounder until something better drops. |
Ranged weapons
Ranged items fire projectiles at medium distance. They are for backline players, kiting, or when a runner escapes your melee range. Friendly fire is a real concern in 15-player servers.
| Item | Type | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Plastic Gun | Ranged | Lowest damage ranged option. Better than nothing. |
| Revolver | Ranged | Single-shot, moderate damage. Requires aim. |
| Laser Gun | Ranged | Beam weapon. Consistent damage if you hold it on target. Part of starter pack. |
| Beans Can | Ranged | Unusual projectile pattern. Niche use. |
| Slingshot | Ranged | Low damage, fast fire rate. Gap filler. |
| Camera | Ranged | Utility or joke item depending on the build. Check the live shop. |
| Rocket Launcher | Ranged | High splash damage. Do not fire into teammate clusters. |
Consumables and misc
These items are situational tools. Using them at the right moment — not the moment you spawn — is the skill expression.
| Item | Type | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Bloxy Cola | Consumable | Heal or panic button. Part of starter pack. See starter pack guide. |
| Burger | Consumable | Food item. Health restore. |
| Bomb | Utility | Area damage. Positioning matters. |
| Banana Peel | Utility | Slip trap. Crowd control. |
| Speed Coil | Utility | Movement speed boost. Rotate faster. |
| Gravity Coil | Utility | Alters jump or float behavior. Niche. |
| Regen Coil | Utility | Health regeneration over time. |
| Noob Gun | Ranged | Themed weapon. Functional, not a meme. |
Where items come from
Starter pack — Sword, Laser Gun, Bloxy Cola return on every spawn. Do not sell these.
Intermission Shop — Opens during Lore Mode between waves. This is where you buy the items not in your starter kit. Prices are not published here; check the live shop during a session.
Rolling — The Starter Pack Shop in the main menu lets you roll for random items. This is how you get variety beyond the starter three.
Practical loadout advice
For a Wave 25 badge run, keep the starter pack intact: sword, laser, cola. Do not swap the sword for a katana you found mid-run unless you have tested it. A weapon you have not practiced is a liability.
For ranged, laser gun is the safest default. Revolver rewards accuracy. Rocket launcher is a commitment — it demands you check your background before firing.
For consumables, cola is the only non-negotiable. Burger and regen coil are luxury. Speed coil is for Jetpack mains who need to rotate faster.
The combo sheet does not list item swaps. Items are personal preference after you learn the four-hit M1 chain. See the controls guide for the foundation.
