CNSD Reborn Skill tree and upgrades
Level up, spend a point, and stop dumping everything into unused damage.
Skill trees are one of the reasons CNSD Reborn is a rework instead of a texture pack. Community sneak peeks from Cosmic and Elite Clock Dummy showed a main menu upgrade, a skills UI, a health bar, and a tree you feed with level-up points. sebe’s own shorts keep teasing combat variants, but the tree is the progression layer that original Combat Noobs Siege Defense never really had. This guide is how to spend those points during playtest without locking yourself into a joke build.
How points appear
Footage and commentary agree on the loop: you fight waves, you level up, you gain a skill point, you open the tree, you buy either a new skill or a stat bump. That is all we will claim as fact. Exact XP per noob, whether assists count, and whether deaths tax XP are not published. Play as if combat participation is the only farm. AFK in spawn will not fill a tree, and it will get you kicked from a 15-player server that actually wants Wave 25.
Open the tree from the skills UI, not from chat commands. If the button is missing on your session, the build you loaded may predate the menu. Rejoin. If it is still missing, sebe rolled it back; check the updates hub before you assume a bug on your account.
First five points (safe default)
- Health or defense. Playtest crowds hit harder than your ego. Surviving Wave 12 is a damage stat.
- Block-related node if one exists. Extra frames or reduced chip on F will save more runs than a 3% punch bump.
- Awaken damage or charge once you can actually land G. If you still miss the burst, skip this. See how to Awaken.
- A movement node only if you play Jetpack or you rotate lanes. Heavy mains should not buy sprint length they will not use.
- A class skill unique to your dummy. Generic damage is the last dump, not the first.
This order is deliberately boring. Boring clears Wave 25. Highlight-clip trees do not. The Wave 25 badge guide assumes you still have HP nodes when the night shift of noobs arrives.
Class-specific spending
Dummy / Imposter. You are learning. Buy survival. Respec later if the playtest allows it.
Heavy. Fortify the choke. Damage is a bonus; your job is to not fold.
Jetpack. Mobility and camera-stable melee. A tree that ignores stamina or fuel (if present) makes the jetpack a brick.
Rocket / Laser Cannon. Splash and range nodes first. Standing in melee as a cannon dummy is a skill issue the tree cannot fix — also go reread controls.
Titans. If a titan has its own branch, finish the starter tree before you respect into titan-only nodes you cannot use after a death morph-off. The titan roster flags which bodies are even in the playtest.
Respecs, wipes, and Update #1
Nobody has published a reliable respec price. Assume points are sticky until a patch says otherwise. That is why the default path is reversible-looking stats instead of a one-way ultimate morph. If a node is labeled experimental in the UI, skip it unless you like being a lab rat.
Place republishes during playtest can reset trees. That is ugly and it is also how unfinished Roblox games work. Do not spend Robux on a tree layout until sebe says progress is sticky. Gamepasses from the original title may or may not apply; owner Q&A comments were mixed. Confirm in the live shop, not in a 2024 thread.
When Update #1 lands, expect new nodes for Musician, Screen, and Photo classes, plus a possible refund. Track that on the roadmap. Until then, every point you spend should answer one question: does this help me stand on Wave 25 with the dummy I actually use?
If a script vendor promises an auto-max tree, that is a server-side grant you should not touch. Script safety exists because those tools target the discontinued place and will not politely fail on Reborn.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers players ask during the playtest.
Can I reset my skill tree?
Not documented. Spend as if points are permanent until a patch note on the updates hub says otherwise.
Do I get a point every wave?
Points come from leveling, not from a guaranteed per-wave drop. Fight, do not AFK.
Should damage be my first node?
No. Health, block, then Awaken quality. Damage is a luxury after you stop ragdolling on Wave 10.
Is the tree in every playtest server?
If the skills UI is missing, rejoin. If still missing, that build may have it disabled — check latest notes before grinding for nothing.
