CNSD Reborn Starter dummy tier list

First-shop bodies ranked for playtest waves, not lobby fashion.

Starter Units Ranked

Starter classes are everything you can buy before a titan morph. In CNSD Reborn that currently maps to the Dummy line the community wiki already named: Dummy, Imposter, Heavy, Jetpack, Laser Cannon Dummy, Rocket Dummy, plus Screen and Photo experiments when they are enabled. This page ranks them for public playtest sieges. If your shop is missing a row, skip it; do not wait in lobby hoping the universe will gift you a hidden S tier.

S — Heavy and Rocket Dummy

Heavy is the choke. Slow, wide, and hard to ragdoll off a point. In a 15-player server you want at least one. If nobody bought Heavy, you buy Heavy. Block on F actually matters on this body because the hurtbox is a door. Pair with the controls page until you stop eating grabs during M1 four.

Rocket Dummy is splash. Clustered noobs are the default problem, not a tanky 1v1. Rockets turn Wave 12 from a panic into a cleanup. The original game’s Dual Rocket kits were already community favorites; Reborn’s rocket dummy is the playtest version of that job. Do not stand in your own splash. Do not fire into a teammate Heavy’s back.

A — Jetpack and Laser Cannon Dummy

Jetpack exists because pubs lose a lane and never rotate. You fly (or boost) to the sound of screaming. If you only hold one street and ignore pings, you bought the wrong class — go Heavy. Jetpack rewards camera control. Shiftlock on.

Laser Cannon Dummy is for players whose melee still misses. Range lets you contribute without standing in the pile. It drops to B in the hands of someone who never blocks, because cannons get flanked. Use it as a bridge into better melee, not as a forever main, unless you are actually good at kiting.

B — Imposter and Heavy Screen Dummy

Imposter is a gimmick body. Trick kits win highlight clips and lose badge runs when the gimmick is a cooldown you do not understand. Buy it after you already have a Heavy or Rocket in the warehouse. Documented notes will expand on the dummy class page as the playtest reveals the kit.

Heavy Screen Dummy is the Screen-class preview. Original CNSD treated Screen like TV Men: utility, flashes, disruption. If the playtest enables it, treat it as A in coordinated lobbies and B in silence. A flash that blinds teammates is a throw.

C — Photo / Metal Pipe and specialty leaks

Glitched Dual Metal Pipe Dummy is a meme weapon with a real hitbox. Metal pipe footage is all over DaNotSebee’s shorts. Fun, inconsistent, and not the Playtester plan. Musician class remains TBA; do not rank a speaker dummy you cannot buy.

Leaked names (Ankle Breaker Dummy, Potential Man, Jump Jump variant, Burst) stay in C-or-unranked until they have a shop price. The tier list hub will promote them when they exist.

D — Starter Dummy

Free. Weak. Fifteen-damage punch in original numbers. You spawn as this so the tutorial can be the first wave. Spend your first coins to leave. Keeping Dummy for a “skill check” during the Wave 25 window is a choice, not a strategy.

Purchase order for a new account

  1. Survive two waves on Dummy so you understand ragdolls. Getting started.
  2. Buy Heavy if the lobby has none, else Rocket Dummy.
  3. Save toward a titan only after you can see Wave 15 without emptying cola. Titan rankings.
  4. Dump leftover coins into the skill tree, not into a third mid-tier dummy you will never wear.

Codes, when they exist, should copy this order. A free Imposter from a gift string is still a B-tier gimmick. Redeem on the codes hub, then play the body that holds the street.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers players ask during the playtest.

What should I buy first with coins?

Heavy if nobody else did, otherwise Rocket Dummy. Default Dummy is not a destination.

Is Jetpack better than Heavy?

Only if your server already has a choke holder. Jetpack without a Heavy is a tourist in the sky.

Where is Musician Dummy?

Still TBA in public documentation. When it ships, this list will move.

Does this ranking ignore skill?

A great Dummy player still does less than a decent Heavy. The list is for pub efficiency, not for one-tricks.
