Getting started in CNSD Reborn

From lobby dummy to a wave you can actually finish.

Getting Started

CNSD Reborn drops you into a 15-player Roblox siege with a default Dummy, a short melee string, and a shop that will happily take every coin you earn. The playtest opened on 13 August 2026 as the official rework of Combat Noobs Siege Defense. If you remember Clock Titans and 12.5k morphs from the original, park that memory. The new loop is closer to a battlegrounds fighter strapped onto a wave defense: you punch, block, sprint, and Awaken while noobs pour in. This page is the first hour without the panic.

What you are looking at

The official description lists the only binds you must know on spawn: left click melee, F block, G or hold the player icon to Awaken, Left Shift sprint, Ctrl or Alt for shiftlock. There is no separate tutorial island in the current playtest. You learn by dying on Wave 3 with shiftlock off. Bind those keys before the first siren. The controls guide is the printable version if your muscle memory still expects a tower-defense hotbar.

Servers hold 15 players. That is small enough that one person AFK in spawn is noticeable and large enough that a coordinated Heavy plus Jetpack lane can carry a wipe-prone lobby. Voice chat is not supported on the Roblox page. Callouts happen in text or not at all. If the lobby is silent, assume you are solo-carrying your side of the map.

First two minutes

  1. Favorite the experience and join sebe’s realm if you want group shouts later. Codes, when they exist, often require one of those.
  2. Spawn as Dummy. Purple shirt, gray jacket, tie, 15-damage punch in the original data — still the weakest body in the roster. You are not stuck with it, but you should survive a wave before you spend.
  3. Grab the starter pack if the leak still holds: a sword, a laser gun, and a Bloxy Cola on every spawn. The pack exists so you are never empty-handed after a death. Do not sell or drop it to look cool.
  4. Toggle shiftlock. Camera-relative punches matter once ragdolls start flying.
  5. Find the shop and read prices. Do not buy the first titan portrait you see. Read the starter tier list first.

Early waves teach spacing. Noobs in this universe are the Skibidi-coded enemies: grabby, loud, and happy to surround a dummy who sprints in a straight line. Block the first heavy, punish with the four-hit melee string, then back off before the pile-in. Awaken is not a Wave 1 button. Save it for a clustered pack or a miniboss shout. Details sit in how to Awaken.

How to spend your first coins

The original game’s economy pushed players toward Rocket Dummy, Heavy, and then titans. Reborn’s shop is thinner during playtest, but the roles are already readable:

  • Dummy — free, bad, fine for learning hitstun.
  • Heavy — slower, tankier, holds a choke.
  • Jetpack — mobility to rotate between lanes.
  • Laser Cannon Dummy — range for players who panic in melee.
  • Rocket Dummy — splash for clustered noobs.
  • Imposter — trick kit; only buy if you understand the gimmick.

If two of those are missing from your shop, the playtest simply has not enabled them on this build. Do not assume you are shadowbanned. Check the dummy class page for who is documented, then the updates hub for what sebe enabled this week.

Skip titan purchases until you can finish a mid-teens wave without being the first ragdoll. Titans are fun and they are also how original-game wallets evaporated. The titan tier list exists so you do not repeat that.

Skill points and the badge clock

Sneak peeks showed a skill tree: level up, gain a point, spend it on a skill or a stat. That system is one of the reasons Reborn exists instead of a straight port. Put your first points into survivability (health or block frames) if you keep dropping before Wave 10. Damage can wait. The skill tree page walks the leaked layout.

The Roblox badge Playtester asks you to reach Wave 25 before Update #1. That is a calendar, not a skill check you can redo forever. If you only have time for one goal this week, it is that badge. The dedicated Wave 25 guide covers wipe recovery, when to spend Cola, and how to read a lobby that cannot block.

After the first session

Bookmark codes even though the table is empty — the first string will not wait for you. Skim script safety so you do not inject an auto-kill leftover from the discontinued place. Then go back in. CNSD Reborn rewards reps more than wiki tabs. The wiki is here so those reps are spent on the right dummy.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers players ask during the playtest.

Is there a tutorial level?

Not in the current playtest. Learn binds from the Roblox description and this guide, then survive the opening waves.

Should I buy a titan in my first hour?

No. Clear several waves on a starter class and read the titan tier list first.

Does original CNSD progress transfer?

Community Q&A and comments say morph progress does not carry. Gamepasses might — confirm in the live shop, not in a 2024 clip.

Can I play solo?

You can sit in a 15-player server with nobody helping, but the mode is online siege, not a private single-player campaign.
