CNSD Reborn How the Potential system works

Turn P% into a titan and actually use it without friendly-ragdoling your team.

Potential System Guide

Potential (P%) is the core transformation mechanic in CNSD Reborn. You build it by fighting noobs, spend it to become a bigger unit, and lose a chunk when you die. The community wiki and sneak peeks confirm it works like this: small enemies give 1 P%, large enemies give 2 P%, bosses give 8 P%, and the cap is 100 P%. Hold G and your dummy ascends — but only past certain thresholds. This page is the Practical P% guide so you are not standing at 99% wondering why nothing happened.

How P% builds

You do not buy Potential. You earn it by participating in combat:

  • Small enemies: +1 P% per kill
  • Large enemies: +2 P% per kill
  • Bosses and named enemies: +8 P% per kill

Potential is capped at 100 P% total. If you die at 50%, you respawn at 45%. Death always costs 5 P%. The meter shows under your player icon — look for it during the ascend animation.

AFK in spawn does not generate P%. Neither does watching a titan clear your lane. You have to be in the fight.

Transformation thresholds

Not every P% milestone triggers a change. The game checks your current equipped dummy when you hold G:

DummyP% needed to transform
Heavy Dummy25 P%
Musician Strider50 P%
Dummy Titan100 P%

If you hold G at 25 P% as a default Dummy, nothing happens — the threshold is unit-specific. Sneak peeks from the community wiki confirm this mechanic. The YouTube guide embedded here walks the full showcase from 0 to titan.

When to transform

Good times to hold G:

  • You hit 25+ P% and your lane is collapsing. Heavy Dummy’s larger form holds chokes better.
  • You hit 50 P% and have a Musician Strider equipped. Speaker-men scale is significant.
  • You hit 100 P% in a late-wave cluster. Dummy Titan slam into a grouped pack is a round-reset.

Bad times:

  • You hit 25 P% on default Dummy and nothing happened. Check your equipped unit, not the meter.
  • You transformed into a titan and immediately got grabbed. Titan Awaken has a long animation.
  • You spent P% on a morph your team does not need. A titan who friendly-ragdolls the Heavy holding the point is a liability.

Titan consequences you must know

Your hurtbox grows. Teammates will literally stand inside your model. Missed slams ragdoll allies. Awaken becomes a budget — you get one good burst per tense wave, not a per-minute super.

If you die as a titan, you return to your previous smaller form. Keep a starter dummy you can actually play. A titan you cannot control is worse than a Heavy who blocks.

See the titan roster and titan tier list before you spend P% on a morph you cannot afford to play.

P% and the Wave 25 run

The Playtester badge does not care about your Potential. Wave 25 is reach-based, not P%-based. Budget your transforms: a titan slam on Wave 18 that friendly-ragdolls your only Heavy is a wipe move. Use P% when the lane is actually lost, not for a highlight clip.

The skill tree may interact with Potential — leaked footage shows upgrade nodes tied to P% thresholds. Until sebe publishes the full tree, treat transformation as a tool, not a progression goal.

When Update #1 lands, expect new thresholds for Musician, Screen, and Photo titans. Track that on the roadmap.

Fail states

You hold G and nothing happens. Check your equipped unit. Default Dummy does not transform at 25 P%.

You transformed and died instantly. Titans have bigger hurtboxes. Awaken was probably on cooldown. Block before you slam.

Teammates flame you for friendly-ragdolls. They are right. Aim titan slams away from the Heavy on the choke. Your VFX is not worth their respawn timer.

You are at 99 P% and cannot transform. You may have the wrong unit equipped. Switch to the dummy whose threshold you meet.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers players ask during the playtest.

Does Potential carry over after I transform?

Yes. If you transform at 50 P% into Musician Strider and get killed, you return to your previous form at 45 P%.

Can I transform without hitting the threshold for my current unit?

No. You need to meet the unit-specific P% requirement. Default Dummy does not have a documented transform below 100 P%.

Do I generate P% while dead or in the lobby?

No. Combat participation is required. AFK earns nothing.

Should I always hold G at 100 P%?

Only if a titan morph helps the lane. A titan who friendly-ragdolls the team is a liability, not a carry.
